I've tried and tried to find my old truck but the DMV will not give me the current owner of my old, 89' K5 Blazer. According to carfax, it is still located in the Seattle area. More specifically, Renton WA. It's solid white, grey interior, split rear windows, two front chrome tow hooks up front and a small dealer sticker on back saying "Websters, Cody".

Any thoughts how to locate it or if anyone in the south end of Seattle has seen it? It's kinda hard to do anything here in Colorado other than visit the area and drive around trying to find it.

I would love to find it again, fix it back up and use it again with my 3 daughters. The 5 yr old wants a 67 Bronco so I need to start swinger her towards GM :D .

Anyways, here is the VIN # 1gnev18k2kf120814

My email: nielson at gocougs.wsu.edu Please contact me no matter how old this post is.

Apparently, it has over 255k miles on it!

Thanks!

Best of luck finding it, I'd think just finding another K5 would be a ton easier though.

sorry but no help here but websters motors in cody is a couple miles fomr where I live. Weird.

I do agree that it'd be easier to build a new one than it would be to find the old.

I also live in Colorado Springs and would be happy to help ya find another if ya want. I see them for sale on a fairly regular basis.

Heck, here's one right on the borad! http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187934

I'm not sure if you can see it or if you have to be a member.

I actually bought the truck from Websters back in 91 or 92'. It was the cleanest one from Casper to Billings. Just didn't like the price at the time. Still got it even though I had to give "Bud" a little more money!

I am currently driving a Tahoe from Websters as well......small world! My dad still lives in Cody.

Wild, I am in powell. If you get this way give me a hollar. My 71 project has websters tags on it too.

Finally, after several years.....I found the truck! I happen to stumble on it via craigslist. I called the guy, verified the VIN and just picked it up today! It's probably been over 10 years since I last saw it.

I had my brother-in-law pick it up in the Seattle area and at least get it to his house. My next step, try and transport it back to Colorado.

I haven't seen it in person but my brother did say it ran pretty good. I think at this point the truck has about 308,000 miles on it! Pretty amazing really.

Can't wait to see it and start rebuilding it. :thumb:

The truck originally came with the rear sliding glass but someone switched it out at some point. Any ideas where to find one with rear sliders?

I'll try and post some pics via my photobucket.....hopefully that's OK. I did see I can't upload to the server. Do I need to have an advanced membership to do this?

Pic....hopefully.

That's pretty cool that you were able to track it down and buy it back. Persistance does pay off if you can wait long enough. :thumb:

Very cool you found it. Can't tell on my phone, still got the websters sticker?

As far as I can tell, no....All I see is the remnants of the sticker in the bottom, left hand corner.

I'm sure Bud still has new ones if I want.

It does sound like it needs some work though. Heater doesn't work, blinker lever quirky, rust in the back, crack in rear window, driver's window doesn't work, driver's seat is broken on the right side, and much more. Looks like he switched the steering wheel as well.

On the plus side, the tires were in great shape! 37" tires so they are a little big for me....I'll eventually bring it back down a bit.

We'll see.....

So the million dollar question is, how much did you sell it for and when, and what did you have to pay to get it back?
