Hello,

I am looking for 2 paint codes for an 87-91 Suburban or Fullsize Blazer, Went to local GM dealer but they threw out the old paint books years ago. I need the codes to get the paint mixed.

The colors I am looking for, I believe are called Midnight Blue Metallic and Steel Grey Metallic. I have attached pics of the colors I am looking for, so if anyone could let me know what the proper paint codes are, or have a vin with these original colors pls let me know.

Any help would be great
Thanks

Thanks for the link. Will take a look.

When I bring up this page I can see the pics no problem, Is it because they are on my computer? I attached them when I created the post.

he cant see attached pics because he is not a member, if you had linked them from webshots or photobucket however he could have.

For your color codes, any decent paint shop in your town should have them or easily get them.

What superguy said I no member so cant see em. I need to save mo money less cigs an beer.

The center looks like Lt. Slate Poly WA7468 -- PPG #3453
The main color if it is not metallic is Dk. Blue WA7349 -- PPG #3362
The main color if it is metallic is Dl. Blue Poly WA9095 -- PPG #4251
That is from a 1991 PPG corporate color book I have ( that I haven't returned yet )
If you have different WA numbers let me know and I can give you the colors and PPG numbers.

Real nice lookin truck.

Take a look at the sticker in the glove box. There should be two codes at least, they will have a suffix of either U or L. U is the upper body color, L is the lower body color. They should also be listed at the bottom of the sticker next to BC/CC which means Base coat/clear coat, and it will have the longer numbers that GNERGY listed.

For instance, the code on my Astro was 10U since it was a single color paint. It also lists U9225 at the bottom, either of these should be matchable at most paint shops.

what he said...

just make sure you ask whoever is mixing your paint, if GM ran any variations on each formula... you'd be surprised... the same color can have a 1/2 dozen slight variations depending on what plant they where made in... heck, Chrysler Ice Blue has 11 variations....:doah::haha:

plant location can be found on the VIN tag if need be...

Thanks for the help everyone, These are not the original colors of my truck so the paint codes from my rig will not match. The body shops around here are okay but not super helpful. So I have to come here to my other source!
