Loose Ignition Lock Cylinder?

Does extra weight, on car keys, effect the ignition lock cylinder?

My Tundra's key has been feeling a little loose.
This morning the key wouldnt unlock the ignition, until I flipped the key.

Time for stupid expensive repair?
Or, time to diminish some of my wifes "key accessories" ???

Weight is a big no no they end up doing exactly what you are describing.

Exactly^. The big recall GM is doing right now is a result of too much weight on the ignition.
