Lost and Found - LS3 6L80 NP205 Full Frame Off

Vintage air with lines run behind the fender so other than the AC compressor you won't see an AC. I'm also using their electric controller for smoother operation.

Finally got wheels and tires on it. They're just temp for now but having a roller is AWESOME!!

I took it out of the garage for the first time in over a year. It came in just a bare frame and it leaves with everything but the body and fuel lines. The body is going to be test fit this week and then it will be sent off for line-x. Once we get it back we will start to do the pre-assembly and get everything on the interior/exterior finished.

I've made it a goal for 2015 to be done with this thing finally. Here we go, back on the horse.

looks really good man. if i were you, i'd run some fuel lines with the body off. i did mine after i got the body back on. it would have been a lot faster/easier with the body still off.

Thank Drew. I just ordered some Aeroquip line/connectors. I'll get it done before we put the body on.

Very nice.
Do all you can with the body off it will make your life a whole lot easier.

Finishing the body work tonight and I've got it scheduled for Linex next week. Its hard to tell from the pictures but it looks amazing , the body guy has done an awesome job. Welding and smoothing all the seams and trim holes made a huge difference.

The rockers were hand formed and came out great. We are test fitting the body Thursday or Friday. Big step then off to Linex.

As you may have seen in a previous post I am putting 3rd row Denali seats as the second row of my K5. I'm doing this primarily because they have built in 3 point factory belts and SHOULD be much more comfortable and safe for my kids to ride with me.

To do this I bought the factory Denali floor mounts but instead of just elevating the mounts above the floor like everyone else I had my fab guy make floor buckets so when the seats are folded forward or taken out I will still have a flat floor in the rear.

These were made from the factory truck bed sills that run under most truck beds for support. He did an awesome job. I can't wait to see them welded in and installed.

These are the factory installed bracket mounts in a Tahoe/Denali

Here are the buckets he made sitting beside the "before" metal

Thats cool, would be neat to put those in a truck bed facing backwarns with a cage over them. Then you could pop them out and the seatbelts go with them. What are they out of ?
