So i have decided to start a build thread on my rig, my plans are as follows:
- Rebuilt 350 small block or 454, idk which yet?
- 3 or 4 link up front with king coils
- 56 or 63 inch leaf springs out back
- 42 inch tsl or iroks
- H1 double hummer beadlocks
- dana 60 with some sort of locker
- crossover sterring, im not sure about high steer
(eventually hydro assist)

Basically i wanna turn it into a bad a$# wheeler with some attitude, and keep it street legal so i can drive it where i wheel it, and show it off around town :waytogo:, so let me know what you guys think, ill be updating asmuch as i can with wheeling pics and fix it pics.

So this is where i started, i started with this very clean white 80 stepside that was half-ton, had a 350 and was all smog controlled, and automatic and 205.

So i first ordered up my shackle flip kit from ORD and figured i might as well drop a blazer tank between the fram rails, sorry guys no pics of the installs

I then needed to level it out in the front so i cut out the factory front hangers and put hillbilly blocks in the front (dont worry its only temporary untill i order up the B52s from kert) anyway here are some more pics

Im looking for The pictures of installing my late model truck mirrors, you know the ones that fold in towards the door? plus the install of my electric fans from a ford windstar, and the new chevy grill to replace the crappy chrome one.

Next week ill be posting up the install of my dana 60 and ORD crossover:woot:

Very nice start to your build, nice truck too. Course I am a little partial to stepsides since I have one :D. Try to not destroy that bed and rear fenders either, they're EXTREMELY hard if not impossible to find in any condition let alone good.

Its also kinda freaky that both of our truck have the semi truck mudflaps on the back. Kinda funny too.

Ya its to bad those pictures are like 2 years old, my rear fenders are hammered, i thought about throwing a flatbed on it or ordering some fresh fenders.

So i got some more work done this weekend, Got my tonnage installed with crossover, got it all from my stepdad for 1100 big ones! Needless to say i got a deal, plus i discovered my front driveshaft was about as limp as a wet noodle so it also needed some work.

Here is a pic of rolling the 60 out of the donor.

A pic of the my 44 going bye bye.

The 60 rolled under mytruck real nicely, and then proceded to button it all up.:woot:

Getting the old axle under the donor blazer.

Youl can see the old steering block that was on it, had to take it off because it made the crossover sit to close to my engine crossmember.

Here is part of my CV, all the parts were dryer and rustier then the titanic at the bottom of the ocean that had been brought up for a restore project

All my new u-joints and peices going back together, I only spent 125 bucks and that was with my discount at CRAPA auto parts.:doah:

I had to drill out the ORD steering arm because the stock dana 60 sterring arm studs had somewhat of a shoulder and the ORD arm did not want to fit over them.

thanks all for the compliments, as for the k5 it has 12 inchs of lift sitting on 3/4 ton running gear (was one ton:haha:) has a 383 stroker, it is a factory 4 speed and 205, pushing 39.5 boggers and tsl super swampers, oh and has a detroit disc braked 14 bolt rear, by the way this whole thing is for sale or parting out. here is a video, im not sure if it will work though:doah:

Ill upload more tommarow when i get off work, let me know if the vid works

Vid worked for me. Whys the blazer getting tosed aside? I like it.:woot:
Your truck is cool too, don`t see many step side 4x4s any more.:D

He wants to get rid of it because he is just getting out of four wheeling and more into fishing and stuff, but right now im trying to convince my best buddie to buy it from him so we can lower it to like 6" and cut the fenders and hunt a dana 60 down. It would be his first wheeler but he just has to run it by his women.:haha:

Im wouldnt dream of getting rid of it anyway it is so straight and clean save for the drivers rear fender, and has zero rust, if i had extra cash i would buy it and return it to stock for a nice DD, scrap my frekin escort haha
