Loud Squeal on Acceleration

As was said before, tighten the belts up. Takes 5 min and costs you exactly 0 dollars. I had to do this every now and then on my m1009. If that doesnt do it. It's worth taking the alternators off and taking them to an alternator shop to have them tested. The driver side and passenger side alternators are different, so don't mix them up. Passenger side has an isolated ground built in. Make sure the alternator shop knows this and if needed, have them rebuild it.

Oh, and here's the part numbers for the belts:

  • Driver side alt- Gates# 25-7575; Dayco# 15580
  • Passenger side alt- Gates# 7483; Dayco# 15490
  • Power Steering- Gates# 7448; Dayco#15455

Of course when me and my girl looked at it, we couldn't get it to make the noise at all. It's intermittent now so i guess ill just wait until it gets worse so i can diagnose.

Driver side belt looks loose and it's all the way out. I'll try to order a proper belt. Worst case i have a spare and i can go from there. I've always had to keep trying different sizes.

Thanks for the information about the alts, my guess was a clutch mechanism
