You guys with big blocks in first gens what are you running for a lower radiator hose (what truck is it off of) ?

Will a 2wd truck that had a 402 BB work?

I tried one for my year with a 350 no good and a later year with a 454 still no good. This is the only thing preventing me from firing this monster up.

I couldn't get a hose to work but I have a body lift so that throws it all out of wack. What I did was buy two different hoses, cut them in the middle and used a sleeve to make a hose that would work for me. I spent alot of time looking through the parts store's selection, but nothing would work for me.

I jsut installed mine tonight. My one that I used on the 80s style truck fit right on. Note, I am using a 454 from a 82 but that shouldn't change much and the radiator is of newer vintage 3 row with straight out nipples

I installed a hose that came from a 72 C series pickup with a 402 and fit ok. had to trim about a 1 1/2" off the water pump side. This hose did not come with a anti collapse spring so I robbed one from another hose.

Napa P/N is 7371.
