Cams coming in and going out fast! Cams come from the machine shop, get inspected again and labeled with your name, engine, and cam ID. Cam ID is etched into the end of the cam.

My Lq4 is suffering from the dreaded piston slap. I hear they run a long time like that. Mine is quiet...although that is to my ears...the knock sensor on the other hand hears it better than i do so i get a gitch in the throttle at idle in gear with foot on the brake. Wondering if you have experienced this? My guess is impending doom is on its way. That being said i like the numbers of the baby cam. More than enough power.

Simple answer. The Stock truck intake does not match the desired air flows. Yes, you can keep it and the rig will run awesome but it will not make as much torque. I have run both the stock intake and TBSS/NNBS with the Baby Cam. VE table, the fuel table, really shows a difference in air flow with the later intake.

Piston slap wise. I've seen them go a few hundred thousand with it. It does get picked up as knock, that can be worked out in a tune though. Sensitivity can be altered and rate of timing return can be sped up.
 
Been laid off since 7/14 due to oil prices. Been getting 6/7 days a month running a dredge pump in denver. So money coming but slowly. The cost of a stock reman short block is a real shocker..especially the 2500 core charge. Insane. Anyways how can i go about a tune with what i have since its a bone stock tune save for gear ratio changes etc by PSI. Do you send a box to log data and i send it back with my spare ecm or?

I got nothin'...except eventual plans for my 57 Pontiac. Mostly I was curious if you guys had done any boosted stuff and how that has been.
