LS swap in my 87 k5

You have to either grind it flat, cut out the raised area, or do like I did and put spacers between the mount and adapters.

Front is for the evap emissions system. I am just going to cap it off.

They sell fancy block off plates and stuff too.

The map sensor just pushes in. Use a hook and pull it out. Might take some wiggling but it should come out

I dug what was left of the map sensor out but the clips are broke off, so hopefully it'll stay tight with out the clips.

It should. Do you have the rear bracket that the engine cover snaps on to? Cause that goes over the top of the map and would hold it in. That's what I have going on on mine.

I have the cover but it's broke too, I wish that I would have looked it over better before I bought it because there's a lot of stuff I don't like about it.

How's it turning out.
I have done one. Any question just ask.

It will be close with a factory crossmember but it work if you sue the right parts.
What mounts are you using?
Did you replace your factory mounts on the frame?
If they are still the rubber ones then you will need to replace them with some poly ones.
You can see in my build what I used.

Yeah I went back with the rubber factory ones, Im thinking about notching and welding it back.

I scored a 241c out of a 89 k5 off of Craigslist last night for $150, hopefully I can pick it up Saturday.

Might as well do it right, poly mounts are the way to go. It's crazy that you can get a 241 that cheap when a SYE kit for them is so damn expensive.

Yeah, the guy had a 700r and the 241 for $250, should have bought them both and sold the tranny to recoup some cash.
