I am plugging along on my LS Swap and have gotten my LS harness back from being reworked. I am wondering which of my old wires need to stay in the engine bay. Mainly asking about the 2 main groups of wires that originally ran to the starter and alternator on the old 350. I am going to try and simplify this as much as possible.

Here is what I am thinking, I will run the positive battery cable from the battery down to the large lug on the starter, reuse the old purple wire (starter ignition) and hook it to the small lug on the starter, then I am going to run a wire from the large lug on the starter up to the individual post on the LS alternator, and the rest of the alternator wiring is in the LS harness. Is this all correct and will it work?

Now, what do I do with the rest of the old starter and alternator wiring, pictured below.

Old starter wiring- 2 fuseable links in here into one ring connector that originally went to the large starter lug.

Old alternator wiring.

I was going to just take it all out but it looks like it feeds power to the junction block on the firewall which powers the blower motor and rest of the hvac? How do I keep power to that stuff and also remove the alternator and starter wiring? Or do I need to keep any of the rest of the old starter wiring? Hope this makes at least a little sense.
