LSD's front and rear...

Re: LSD\'s front and rear...

We had a pretty good ice storm here in Dallas on New Years Eve...I just ran 2WD since I know how tight my Auburn is...I ran up on a big traffic jam just south of Legacy (for all my neighbors in here), and just hooked a hard right and climbed the bank to the service road...scared the Bejesus out of my GF (she hasn't been wheelin' with me yet), but sure did make her a Truck fan all of a sudden...I wouldn't have dreamed of driving in that ice in 4WD....there were cars in the guardrail all over the place and I counted at least 6 Big Rigs jack knifed, not to mention the Rice Rockets out in the ditches...When ever I go to Dallas, or Ft Worth, I take the truck...I can see...I can drive over parking logs as necessary...I can park where most people wouldn't even try...little cars seem to let me in line when the lane is blocked (I am a very courteous driver)..and I can carry lots of stuff.....I Love My K5.....between Aug and Nov of last year I put 800 miles on my Vette...sorta says somethin', don't it??....JD

I'm at 10th and Plum....10 miles from nowhere, and Plum out in the sticks....Stuck?...Hell no..I still got some gas left..

That ice storm was crazy...nobody could drive worth a damn. i did slide off the road onece cause I hit an icy spot right as I had to turn and slid straight into a field.

Re: LSD\'s front and rear...

K5Jimmy, I know what you mean with hte girlfriend. My wife laughs her ass off when she rides with me. She says its like a roller coaster ride. Especially when I take the sway bar off, and these new springs, we bounce all over the place. But driving in snow and ice isnt all that bad, it just takes patience. Which nobady has anymore. I have a limited amount myself, but it all depends on what Im having to deal with. People, NOPE< I have none. So driving in the inclimate weather makes my hair stand up. but to get back to the subject. I haven't had a LSD in big dog like this Jimmy before, SO this is going to be a little new for me. But as 4 4wd in the snow adn ice, I can tell a world of difference just have the hubs locked and in 2wd. But I love my shift on the fly 241 it helps, but 2 wd has always done me right in the snow. I actually prefer it till 4wd is needed. But damn you guys there in Texas must have thought the end of the world was coming, having snow and ice. LOL!!! My wife is from Corpus Christi and she was tripping when she saw the news. She was calling for the "Global Superstorm". LOL!!! My sweet dear wife has let all this new found religion go a little too far. But I guess no more than my love for the K5. I gott aget to work gents.

Will work for beer, parts and tools.
