Lubing the Doubler pieces

Hi all,

What do I use to lube the bearing that goes in the doubler?

What do I use to lube the gear that is on the doubler shaft?

Do I need to put fluid in the 203 gear side before assembley?
If so, what fluid? Regular oil (as factory), OR since this is now gears only, should I put in gear oil?

SW told me when i was doing mine, just use grease to hold the needle bearings in, put it together and fill it with 90W gear oil just like the 205, i wouldn't hurt to shoot a little 90w on the bearings as you assemble it and give them a spin, I put mine together, and left the drive shafts out then tossed it into gear and let it spin to splash lube all over in there with very little load on it, before i went or a drive. Just make sure you shut it off Before you try to put it back in park or you may kill the parking sprag, cause everything will be spinning. I spoke to SW that's pretty much what he said. He went on to specify how GM as starting to put ATF in the 205. He said you can use just about anything (motor oil, atf, gear oil, grease the bearings) in these.

I am debating on whether to use gear oil, or motor oil.
