Lucky # 7de7 Sold

Roundeye lives matter!
Dean does the wire harness from the steering column to the gauge cluster match the new cluster printed circuit?
I had issues with the printed circuit itself. Check closely each circuit on that flexible sheet to be sure there isn't a tear or hot spot. Also that the tabs making contact are in good condition!

Yes they are the same 9 per side 18 all together. I tried 6 different clusters with no luck. Albeit they we kind of dirty from garage dust.
I stuck the original to the truck back in it for now...We can get back to it later.

The reason I took it out is that the shift indicator tab for the cable was broken and I wanted to change the cluster with one that was not.
After the other clusters wouldn't light up I was going to put all the original gages in a non broken housing. But they are actually different.

I just getto fabbed a screw in the dash for the cable.

Well done!

I did some reading and sounds like you need to re pin a few wires in the harness and change the senders [ oil and temp] I got a scad of harnesses from gage trucks to compare with so it can`t be so bad? :dunno:

Boring rainy day project for sure!

Ah, Canucks are so nice!

Indeed! :haha:

The guy was trying to fix the truck last year but I guess he was not having much luck...and he wanted to clean up his yard.
He was kind of sad about it because he had it for ten years or something like that. He used it for fencing and moving things around his property when he was building the place. He didn`t want to see it scrapped, that's why we ended up with it.

Yeah, dummy lights just use a switch as opposed to a sending unit for a gauge.

Just need to swap senders Martin? I read there could be some wires to repin as well?

When i tried the other clusters i had the volt gage did nothing. :dunno:

Time to count up your pennies and buy some old sun pro mechanical gauges

Old Motorola? Guy I went to college with drove his dads 68 F250 a few times, my favorite part of the truck was the vintage Motorola tach!

Nope...I'll dig it out, i think it's a old Sun.
I haven't seen it in while.

Oh, I am sure there will be wires to repin. I kind of figured that went without saying, my bad. The voltmeter is extremely easy to hook up, just power and ground.

Stock gauges > aftermarket gauges.
