Lucky # 7de7 Sold

Buy both. Mix and match for the best of both into one truck. Sell what's left, over in @The Griff 's territory, for way overpriced, end up with a free truck.

Yallz is bisterds.

The last "free" truck I had anything to do with was a 95 4.3 5 speed K1500, and that was with some assembly required. That truck belongs to to uncle now, who uses it as a firewood truck.

Here's a rough scale on 4wd square pricing based on the trucks that I have seen for sale in about a 75 mile radius. (This is mainly about K10's, for K20's, add $1,000-$1,500)

$1000 > - Field fresh, hasn't run or moved since 1984 and has had cattle loving up on it.
$1500 - You might get it runinng and it might even shift, but the body will probably be 85% rust and rot and probably need new springs or axles or both.
$2000 - Mud truck, runs and drives-ish, welded diff, tons of rust no hood, may or may not have doors, fenders are radius cut so it can clear 38's with no lift.
$2500 - Either a truck that is rusted to hell and beat to death that runs and drives alright, or a fairly clean original truck that needs an engine, transmission, or both.
$3000 - A buildable truck, usually fairly solid but will need some paint and rust repair, a tune up, and probably stuff like door seals and shocks.
$4000 - This is usually where you start to see trucks that you can jump right into and start building on without worrying if it's going to blow up on a trip to town.
$5000 - A moderately clean and solid truck with a small lift and either 33's or 35's, might have some primer or new panels.
$6000-$9000 - Clean original or aftermarket paint job, 35s-37s, clean interior, rebuilt 350, maybe a 14 bolt under the back, maybe even a winch.

Example, here's a nice looking 86 K20 with a vortec 350 and a 4 speed, $6250, though that's not his original price, I remember this truck being advertised for $8K

He says:

Early ls motor, it's a 5.7...some people call it a ls motor, some don't.

It's out of a 96 tahoe. It is a Vortec, fuel injected.

Shall I continue to troll?

Maybe just a little bit.... Otherwise I'm no better then all the others out there....

He's had this truck listed since last fall, and originally he was asking north of $8,000.

Do what you feel necessary.

What a tool...

If it has a distributor it ain't an LS, just for starters of course. I say troll away!!

I asked him if he did the swap... Let's see where it goes from there...

Yes I did. Put a Vortec in my jeep and then done one in the 86. Harness was sent off and redone and hooked up right. You can plug in a scanner if there's any engine problems also.

You know i realize that being a troll just doesn't come easy for me. Which is weird because I'm a huge sarcastic smart ass in real life.

Anyway I said to him..

So what kind of scanner do you need to see if there are engine problems?
What do you mean the harness was hooked up right?
I am talking to my mechanic about this now. I might want him to look it over.
I want a truck with an LS1 in it. I would guess this thing is pretty fast?

Don't sell yourself short, you're a fantastic troll. Latex worthy even

There are 3 kings.

George Strait.

Richard Petty.

Budweiser.

The last one is self proclaimed. Personally, i'm not much of a fan of ol' bud.

So, truck, blah blah blah, 77, blah blah...
