M1008 Cucv Ls Swap Cadolet Build, long range Blazer Bash 2026 prep

Converting my M1008 from 6.2 Diesel to LQ9 power
Didn't take any pictures but I replaced the sending unit with correct one and thread sealer so hopefully that fixes the oil leak and I reinstalled the intake manifold. Next is wiring up gauges and vss low switch for the t case and tie rod re install with hydro assist. Then shifter and I'll see what else I can possibly get done. If I have time I'll pull the bumper and grill guard off so I can install my ORD bumper at blazer bash.

That oil leak is fixed. Now I think I have a oil leak on my oil pan at that stupid thing that can be used as a drain back valve next to the oil filter. But no more leaks on the exhaust.

This is what happens when you don't trim them enough.

Trimming helps but they fall apart if you use them enough. I would go through two pairs each summer before upgrading to air bumps.

I pulled the intake to deal with the oil leak. I had a mouse house. It's cleaned up now. I'm going to install a sending unit so I can n hook up my factory gauges.

mint extract, little drops around/on the engine and they'll stay away.

Bump cans would be nice, maybe for blazer bas 2027 ill have them. Good idea on the mint. I think it was from when the truck was still in Portland area and I was living in Pendleton before we moved.
