m1009 wipers work on high only

work on high and they dont return. so what do i need to check? thanks

The not returning is a side effect of low not working; they return using low speed. Check all the electrical connections at the wiper motor first, but its possibly the low speed windings in the motor are shorted.

ok how do i check the motor?

Check the resistor pack mounted on the blower cabinet as well. Usually at fault when you only have high speed. Wiper return is a function of the motor.

checked it out. still not working. motor is fine. could it be something in the steering column?
