Wanted M22 and shifter

Somewhat tempting, but I want OD. Also there are a lot of Muncie variations, I feel like I'd have to do a bunch of research before even looking at it.

20 minutes east of Edmonton...definitely someone's farm.

My father has a Doug Nash 5 speed with all the linkage, he was going to put it in his 63 Nova, but then we put nitrous on it so he switched to a 4L80E.

I can ask if it sounds interesting to you, he would probably sell it.

I need to recover financially from having a good time lately. But that is an interesting type of thing

I don't want to intrude into this, but it seems Mark found a 4 speed, do you think your Dad would sell the DN 5 speed to me?

The Super T-10 is still available new through Summit Racing and others. Me personally would be looking at the Tremec TKX 5spd.

@tRustyK5 and I have both looked at each of these as well

Hopefully everyone understands he’s not sliding around me asking about that Nash. He and I are working together with parts lists and such
I knew that and it make sense Rene wants overdrive and you don’t need it for yours.

Well, the Doug Nash doesn't have OD. It's actually 1:1 5th gear. The way it is designed is a deeper first so you can run 2.76-3.23 rear gears and still launch it hard while having tolerable cruise rpm's. Actually stronger than running deep gears and an OD. Seeing as I haven't obtained a rear end for the car yet that'd work just fine for me. I'd just choose a 3.00-3.25 gear instead of 4.11's or similar with an OD trans.

Yes and no. I'd like a good OD. But I gave 8 bills for the M21 with the shifter and scatter shield.
Could not pass that up

I will look for an OD, maybe. But with the CalTrac bars on it and no AC, she won't be making many trips to Denver.
I'd still like to find another M21 or M22 for a spare

It's cheaper than building a new auto or repairing the 700 if I bone it

I'll ask him and PM you. And you are correct, it is exactly that, a 5 speed with a final of 1:1 to use taller rear gears and still only use 4 speeds in the 1/4 mile and the 5th acts like an OD.

He bought it completely rebuild, he actually partially traded a rock crusher toward it (M22, had a broken 3rd gear), and then the project changed directions.

If both interested I'll put you in touch with him.

I sent you a PM.

I can get the TKX through my distributor, they have a dozen or so in stock currently.

Well, I spoke with him, turns out he still has both. He bought the rebuilt Doug Nash and a good 2nd gear for his M22 to fix it through the same guy.
