You know you love it:haha:

I ended up trading my Civic for this 96 4wd Tahoe...if you saw my Civic you'd be shocked, reliable yet ugly and missing alot of stuff, no ps, no ac, no back seat...not near worth the same as this Tahoe....did I mention I traded even?:woot: Oh and got the stock wheels with 3 decent tires for it too. The guy was wanting something good on gas...well he wanted it enough to take a loss I guess. I was wanting a truck, but I guess he wanted the 30+ mpg more than I wanted a truck. I'm already hating the pump again though, so I have to fix that now. I traded my 00 zr2 S-10 for the civic plus $1500, which I figured was close to even...bought my K5 for $1300 and traded the Civic even for this. I figure I got myself a K5 for free :thumb:

I'm probably going to roll gangsta til the tires on the 22's are done for, not a whole lot of tread left now. Then I will sell the wheels and 3 decent tires that are on the stock wheels now and get some km2's, Grabber m/t's, or something to throw on the stockers. I will get some better pics when I get a chance, just took a quick shot with my cell to share my excitement. :D

Yea they are a dime a dozen around here with 22's or 24's, not as many that actually look 4wd. It wouldn't bother me as bad if it was 2wd and had nice 20's, I just do not like those wheels, I like billet over chrome usually...it would look good with some Bonspeeds, if it was 2wd....4wd, tires over wheels imo.

the fact that you would run the 22's until the tires are done, when you have the option to get ****ing rid of them on craigslist, solidifies the fact that, yes you DO in fact like the looks of it, and the jokes on you:popcorn:

The fact that I would not get any more money with the tires on them than without is getting me a couple thousand more miles I wouldn't have and just smart...I don't waste useful ****...would you not wipe your ass with the last bit of floral tp and get a new roll of the rough stuff just to prove a point? Not me....want to buy them?

yea yea but you have to be seen like that for the next few months=priceless

i wouldnt have it in me to do it a day, and i dont know how you could:whistle:

nice score.it looks pretty solid fir that trade.id rock it the way it is til the tires fall off as well.why waste the extra miles for now.im doing the same thing with the 94 i just bought.then throw my 15 inch steelies on it with 33s.

I have some 20" on my DD. I dont like them, They ride like crap. I am real close to needing a set of tires on it. When that time comes they are going on CL. I can get some stockers on CL for $100. The thing about the 20s, Its hard to stop, the tierod is going out also. I hate them.

Yea, I feel the same about braking...it sucks. Of course it's just a stock setup, most never upgrade the braking. Just changing out the rotors to a slotted/drilled pair with good pads made a noticeable improvement in my S-10 way back when I put the 18's on it. Imagine how hard it is to stop a rediculous donk with 26's...you know most probably have stock brakes.

As far as the riding like crap goes...if I put low profile tires on something it will be lowered and have a stiffer ride anyways for fun in the curves. So I can live with feeling every bump...I actually prefer it. I just hate a floaty ride, too boring and I'd rather "feel" the road.

You didn't see my Honda:haha: The great mileage made the ugliness ok for me, but it was UGLY.

It's simple...we are totally opposite. You apparently care what people think and I don't. I'd rock a moped if it was all I had :pimp: It's not my favorite look, but I'll drive it til the tread is gone and not feel ashamed or think twice about it. It's only 22's...not herpes.

I personally don't see anything wrong with larger wheels as long as they either fit the look of the vehicle, or are not some crazy "out there" design.. :D

And yes, with a lower profile tire, they do ride alittle rougher, but as far as braking is concerned, even with the bigger wheels, the whole diameter, overall size of the wheel/tire combo is usually the same size as a stock setup, I know this thing definately stops fine.

Something must be wrong with my brakes then. When Im on the brakes pretty hard and hit a bump, The pedal chatters.

Might need to get that checked out.

If this is on a newer vehicle, it sounds like an anti-lock brake problem. My brothers Saturn has a brake pedal chatter, or vibration now and then due to something being faulty with the anti-lock pump motor or whatever it is that does it.

It's not so much the overall size as it is weight. I imagine it'd be the same with larger tires, but to this point I've never had anything bigger than 33's. But the same overall diameter of stock wheels and tires weighs less than the same overall diameter of 22's with low profiles. The more weight spinning the more it takes to stop it.

Yea I would check that out, the 20's shouldn't cause that issue...just slightly longer braking distances. It would be interesting to se a comparison of stopping distances between stock size, 18", 20", 22", 24", etc. Although with alot of newer stuff coming stock with 20's they would probably have close to stock performance with 22's.
