This is not my trail rig, but my rig during the week. It is a 95' suburban and it is draining the radiator ever 2 days. The leak is coming from the back of the block. I would think that it was a freeze plug or the intake. Any experience or ideas would be great before I yank the motor to find out. Thanks.

I have seen quite a few leak betweeen the intake and the heads. The water runs down the back of the block.

crawl on top of the motor and take a peak in the back. It should be pretty clear where it is coming from.

Use an inspection mirror (a small mirror on the end of an extendable wand, with a swivel mount) and a flashlight and start looking around the back of the engine. You should be able to see where it's leaking from.

remove the bell housing pan and try to see if the freeze plug is toast or if u cant see it because of the flywheel flush the system with a water hose and look for water dripping from that area

Thanks for the info guys. I will do the mirror trick this weekend. Hoping it is the intake. If I have to yank the motor, I think I will just replace it. Not a good sign at x-mas time ($$$). At least I don't have to do the work in below zero temps. Cali is good for something.
