hypothetically, what is to to stop you from tagging a smog id tag from "legal" headers and putting it on some that may not necessarily have a CARB number? hypothetically of course

i guess what i'm asking is would inspection stations let you get away with. my vehicle is registered in dallas co.

I thought CARB regulations only effected people in CA...

No 1 has said anything yet and i have headers, but it is hard to pass the nox test.

Yeah CARB stands for California Air Resources Bureau. You have no need for a CARB plate, number or anything else like that as far as I know.

I'd say just get some headers that have provisions for the EGR tubes, and you should be alright. I think most of the header manufacturers make these...I know hedman does, but I'm not positive which other ones do.
