MAN DOWN! Colorado Springs chipped flexplate-168 teeth, 4 broke! need some help 80904

no need to make her pretty.. If the new flexplate, a mini starter, starter motor brace, and threaded stud hail mary won't work, I'll look into getting a welder to braze it to provide a good stable platform to mount the starter... or just switch bellhousing to older style where starter mounts to it, whichever is cheaper...

If you are running a manual, just forget about all this and just buy the cast bell and the starter, which I happen to have.:thumb:
I can tell you now it will be much cheaper than trying to fix the block.

I realize that I am old and not too Bright. But if you need a flex plate, what trans are you running that you can change the bell housing? Or do you need a fly wheel?

Actually the newer GM trans have removable bell housings, but you couldn't bolt up an old cast iron one to it.

Your all good.
