massachusetts emission help

i used another truck on they dyno to get mine to pass, its nice having your inspectors lisence

theres a few local spots around my area, nothing id want to take anything with less then 38's through, i also go up to maine and NH

so i should be fine???is the trail that development??i wouldnt mind just going in a little mud..now i am just hoping i have this sunday off...

since you have you inspectors license maybe you can help. what gears can i put in that still give me a shot to pass emissions. i wanted to put 5.13's in and run 38.5x15x15 boggers. do you think i would be better off running a 4.56 or 4.88. i was told that a 33 is the biggest you can test. i am trying to get a good gear that will be solid off road and still be able to pass emissions.

i dont think the gear ratio matters.

the truck i used on the dyno to pass my truck was an 84 k30 with 4.56's with 245/75/16 tires on it.

i dont know if you have watched an emissions test on a dyno before but on the screen there is 2 lines you have to stay inbetween so it just goes by speed

yeah i have watch my jimmy fail them many of times. i just thought that if i went with such a low gear and smaller tires (not my boggers) the engine would be working harder at a higher rpm and putting out more exhaust.

emissions is the problem. i dont 39's will fit on the dyno. i am gettin 5.13 gears too. i just found a new guy today thats gonna help me get one. bigblaze, its like an hour from lynn to the trail.

hey i dont think i`ll be able to take my truck out there because of my tv cable but maybe i could just come out there and go wheeling with you????i`m off sunday if u want i can drive out there in the morning or something...even though i wont have my truck it will still be fun and i will still have fun and i can see how its like and how it will be for my truck....let me know..i would love to come out....maybe later on in the spring/summer i could come back out with my truck again and go wheeling.....let me know

hey i think i might take the ride out there if thats cool. i put my 1/2 ton back on and am going to redo my exhaust next week. hooker super comp headers w/ AIR, 2.5" true dual, h pipe, 2 cats. i am going to run 31's with 3.73. it should pass emissions with new cats right?, hopefully? i have been driving on a expired sticker for 2 years.

blaze my truck looks like it should be in lowell right now. i have it sitting up on blocks with no wheels. i am in the middle of doing a bunch of stuff over. ill take you in like a month to some serious places. you wont get stuck with the trucks going.

ok let me know

i am getting my parts in the next 3 weeks. my goal is to be done by april 20. blaze your going to get stuck eventually. its better to get stuck with other full size trucks around that can pull you out. ill tell you the trails you would get stuck on. its fun getting stuck when you know you dont have to dig your self out.

they go by mph, have you thought about swapping in lower leafs and somewhere around stock tires for inspection and swap back to your 8's after?

cant do that here in NJ.. they give you a second inspection sticker that lists..
tire size
bumper height
door height
then they give you a paper with a state seal that lists your lift and tire size.....
im 100% legal.. and still can go up 2" to which a body lift will be in order
