There was an old thread posted about this by pseudomike but I am curious if the laws listed on the thread are still valid.

One part I was especially confused by was tire size increase is equivalent to calculated allowable lift height. Meaning if I calculated 4" of lift I could also increase tire size by 4" with a combined height of 8" and that would be legal? Doesn't seem right but who knows! I hope so!

4 inch taller tire will only raise truck 2 in. at most, more like 1 1/2 in.at best.

Last I knew, they measured the height of the door bottoms and if it was higher than the specs allowed--no sticker for you!..
You see many lifted 4x4 trucks waiting in the line at inspection stations with ridiculously tiny tires on stock rims,in hopes of passing inspection...then they go home and put the 44's back on.....
