Matching door & ign lock set

military all same and same across ALL vehicles of the body style . no lost keys this way .

and aftermarket SUCKS anymore . i got a new ignition tumbler and key and 6 months later with under 5k miles i do not need a key at all anymore .
You beat me to it! CUCV trucks and Blazers all had the same keys. B49 key blanks cut with 73Y2. Go look for locks that accept that blank and have them cut to anything other than 73y2. A good old timer locksmith can help you figure it out. You may get lucky and already have B49 type locks on your rear window and doors then all you will need is them recoded and a new ignition tumbler.

In my case, I called the local locksmiths, of which there are two in my town. Best price I could get was $50/lock. Totally not worth it. Maybe places with a dozen or more shops will be more competitive on price.

Just for recode? Or remove and recode, reinstall? You can easily remove and replace the locks yourself and take them all in at once, shouldn't be $200 just to recode 4 cylinders. If it is just check the rear window key for B49 blank usage and get to recoding them your self, not hard watch a you tube video. Key them all to the rear window key.

Found matching sets (minus electric tailgate cylinder) at both jegs and cj pony parts. The jegs set came with both keys, however the square key fit all and the round key only fit the door cylinders. The cj pony set had only the square key but it fits all cylinders.

Cj pony stuff i was not happy with quality on my moms mustang build 2 years ago . Wound up using her ignition and just cj pony door and trunk lock cylinders and had to play with truck to get it to work good .

They wanted $50 each to rekey the locks that I brought in. Not remove/reinstall them. Highway robbery I tell ya!
One of my local shops turned into this, in just 6 months between visits. First time was $50 to do 4 lock cylinders for a house. Nine months later it was $50 per lock.

Well, locks aren't tough. It's just a series of "pins" that have varying height, depending on the height of the key cuts. If you can rebuild en engine, find a yt vid on locks: it's childs play the stumbling block is they keyway, the grooves down the sides of they key: those can stop you from using the incorrect key. However in some cases, your square key and round key will go into either lock cylinder, and that means you can moves pins around to make one square key unlock all.
Btw, you can use only 1pin if you choose, it's not as secure, but whose gonna know you did it.
