is class 8.8 the same as grade 8 bolts in strength
8.8 is the same as grade 5
10.9 is the same a grade 8
There is no direct comparison between metric and standard bolt strength ratings. If I remember correctly, tensile strength would go in this order starting with lowest: Gr.5, m8.8, Gr.8, m10.9.

would you use a 8.8 as a rear shackle bolt or to weak?
