Long story short, Ive got a deal on a 2011 F150 XLT 4x4, its a deal I cant pass up.

My problem is, I dont need two vehicles and storing the K5 is problematic.

I have a company van that I drive all week long and rarely drove the Blazer anyways. and not ive got a nice new shiny truck, I doubt ill drive the Blazer at all. lol.

Ive got a while to make the decision but not an easy one. I know there will be a time I regret it as I know the truck inside and out, its never left me stranded and is in really good shape and has ton o mods.

oh well. This is the only vehicle Ive ever kept this long (10years).

oh well, just ranting. :)

Getting rid of it for a ford? I dont approve, but do what u will.

Keep both for as long as possible, I bet you 100 bucks you will want to cruise the k5 after a month.

Now you can go full offroad only trailer queen with the blazer and don't have to make the compromises.

X2. Kind of like the kid that dies their hair a wild color. Parents didn't approve but they did it anyways. No matter how they thought they were, everyone still called them a Freak!

I think about selling my k10 and getting a nice, newer truck to drive. All it takes is about 30 seconds of driving my k10 to change my mind. Right now the plan is to fix up the k10 and slowly update and modify it until it is a "new" truck.

Of course then there are those days when I wish I would just move on.:dunno:

I like my newer pickups also. And I really like having my work trucks being new, but the weekend drive in the K series is unbeatable. My wife even comments that its cool. Mall crawlin is pretty plush in new sheet metal though.

x2 I had more fun in my out of time stock 350 with 3.08 gears then a 6.0L 3.42's that was putting out double the power.

My last new pickup was my tow rig for the K30. It was a 98.5 ram 2500 with the 8.0 v10. That pickup got it done know matter what. Still have the K series rigs and no dodge.

Thats only if he got the 5.0 or the 6.2 V8. My buddy just purchased one of those on a deal told me to check it out. He got the non ecoboost plain v6. But it has a towing package!!! :haha::haha:

Well, I thought about going "wild" with the K5, mainly with a mild rebuid 350cid but working mainly with suspension (4 link rear and ORD linked front) but not sure.

I, as well, vote ballz to the wall Trailer Queen! :thumb:

You work hard all week... You deserve a nice weekend toy. :D

Yeah. Do it. All the cool kids are!

If I get a good paying job in the lower 48 I'll fly down and buy it from ya, looks enough like my old Jimmy that I'd be more than happy with it, and I like the way you've built it.

youve followed my truck mods? I never really did a full on build thread as I just tinkered over the last 10years off and on.

Well, I kinda made a mistake today. I drove my K5. It hadnt been fired up in a couple weeks. Ill be honest, it needs a lil work, but its just a joy to drive. I always liked driving it. So who knows. I renewed my insurance and its $41bux a month w/ full coverage on it. so its cheap enough to keep. Plus its my SHTF vehicle for bugging out ( it was always built for this sole purpose). so we shall see. for now its safe. :D

Don't sell it. My friend has a brand new Ram 4x4 w/ a hemi and he's jealous of my K5. You're sure you don't have anywhere to store it? Not even park it next to your house/apartment?

You've cared for this truck so well for 10 years: if you DO sell it (please don't) try to give it to a fellow CK5er who will continue to treat it right.
