Was there a standard gear ratio in the m1009 k5's? 85 model?

10 bolts front and back, 3.08 gears, gov lok in the back.

Thanks, that makes sense diesel motor and th400 . Any lower would've over rev the motor.

Well the 1 ton version pickup trucks have 4.56 gears and DL in the rears. These max out at 55 mph. You could take the M1009 up to higher speeds pretty safely.
