There's one for sale used here locally at that price.....

Good price, or just average?

There's nothing wrong with my Lincoln SP175+ (220V) but we all know that has nothing to do with making a new purchase! :haha:

:usaflag:

That is a good deal IMO. Depending on the condition of the machine and if it comes with anything other than the basic machine,ie: gas cylinder, wire, consumeables, etc. then that could be roughly half the cost of a comparable new setup. The 252's have been out for a little over 2 years now.

Also, did they happen to get a deal on a spool gun when they bought it? When I purchased my 210 it came with a free spool gun. I've done just about as much aluminun work as steel so it was well worth it.

Like anything used, condition is everything. Take some steel and melt them together and she how she runs. If ya can't try her out I would probablly pass unless it looks near brand new. When I sold my Miller 175 to buy a 180 so I could get the Aluminum spool gun for it, it was in brand new condition and I layed some nice beads for the guy who bought. I asked if he wanted to try it but he said nope that good enough for me. Away he went with a great welder for a good price.

I paid 1599 plus tax at my local AirGas when it went on sale.

I found many good used ones for your price, but none of them were local to me. Fuel cost and time broke the deal to me.

I stand corrected. Took a look at the bill, it was $1799.
A price I was willing to pay and worth every penny.
