I decided I didn't want a noisey / messy / slopy chop saw so I did some thinking and scanning threw my saved web sites and found this .

http://www.swagoffroad.com/SWAG-Portaband-Tables-Accessories_c_35.html

so off I went and found a deal on ebay for a store demo Milwaukee saw and scored it for 50 off new shipped.

then I got the swag offroad tabe / foot pedal / miter guide kit combo . http://www.swagoffroad.com/SWAG-V40-Portaband-Table_p_63.html

cant wait till its all here . I think this will be 10x better and usable in the end.

Didn't even know those existed. We already have a porta-band at the shop so this would be a cool add-on for it.

I was going to buy that. I have the 18v chordless portaban. But im not sure how you would rig up a pedal to something that doesn't have a power chord... :dunno:

My portaban is my favorite tool ive ever bought.

The description only lists only (4) Milwaukee units the Swag table is compatible with so I'm betting the cordless isn't one of them.

**EDIT** I was wrong:
Milwaukee 6232-20, 6232-21, 6238-20, 6238-21
Milwaukee Fuel M18 2729-20, 2729-21 & 2729-22
Didn't read down far enough.

I've been contemplating a Harbor freight porta bandsaw and making my own removable table. I swear Swag should do a HF version.

Yah mine was listed and I had all the shipping and billing stuff filled out to buy the swag table, but then I thought wait, I'm gonna need a 3rd hand to pull the trigger...

I built my own table for mine, i love it and use it almost every day.

Im really considering doing one of these. Portabands are awesome. I used to steal them from the steam fitters all the time to chop stuff up on the jobsite lol.

yeah that seems way better then my loud a#$ chop saw from Rigid that makes a mess when cutting metal up. Might have to sell it and invest in this cool setup!

I have a near-new Milwaukee with six brand new blades that I never use if someone is interested...price would be below market value. Make me an offer.

got my table Friday . also got it with the pedal kit and miter slide . def worth it !

and got my porta-a-band Saturday .

went out and assembled the table kit and she works GREAT :waytogo:

already made a set of brackets to bolt to the end of the work bench and bolt the swag table kit to . this was to make it so I can use the almost 20ft long work bench top as a flat slide surface for long runs of material I cut down . as I just buy a whole stick when I need something .

then I started on the cart bottom for my parts washer I built few years ago I never finished . now I am going to finish it and use it a lot .

Thanks for feed back! I am sure along with others this review will be helpful to them. Very good think of there to put brackets to hold it for max use also. Care to show us any of it's cuts there?

ya I will show it off a bit in a few days .

got 12hr work day sunday and over time next week . so it might be a few days till I can snap pics and post up .

I have literally the same setup. Got the table and kit for Xmas this year. Man after you cut material with a band saw you'll never go back to a chop saw. Especially with the speed control and just turning it down to low. No sparks. No noise. That switch was made more for safety in my wife's mind. But whatever helps her sleep at night lol.

Just remember with that miter guage you need to have it at an angle as the guides in the portaband are not 90 degrees, if your using it to do straight cuts. I was going to add a miter to mine but its super easy to free hand straight cuts as the feed rate isnt as fast as I though it would be (still good though)

I broke a blade in mine yesterday and replace with the lenox from lowes. I think its a 14 tpi. Thats a metal eating sum bitch now.

Woho, wifey picked me up a Milwaukee 6232-21 to help with my carport build. I guess next time I get some overtime I can order up a Swag table for it.

all I can say is BEST OPTION for the porta band .:bow:

get the miter slide and foot pedal kit also its the best .

I need to take a LOOOOONG pic of my work bench its mounted on the end of . its nice to flop a full stick of 20ft up there and not have it flop all around . :pimp::D
