Mini Makeover---what Do You Think?? Updated 7.17.06

I hope you didn't toss the stock stereo out. Those things are probably worth more than your new stereo. A guy here in CA sells them for $400-$500 depending on what shape they're in.

Finally some day pictures.:eek1: I definitely recommend the---tuff country 6"softsprings for front, and----ORD. shackle flip (nets 4") plus TC 3"
softsprings for rear.. It sits level with hardtop, about 1" high in rear
without. Total 6" in front, 7" in rear. Next is rockers, Thinking about
using 3x4 steel tubing. Rockers/Sliders. Stereo and seats up for graps.
What are they worth??? I like the new seats SUPER comfy. haha
Also they have quick release handles, good for kids getting in and out.
Went for a ride this evening, suprising how many thumbs up the Gen1
jimmy/blazer get. Even as rough as it is..

How did you get those bolts off of that steering arm???? I worked like a dog and was getting real close to turning off the corners when I decided I will wait till body is off, just a delay tactic, don't tell me you've never done it! Anyway, any ideas to getting those 3 bolts off? Thanks

If you are putting in those rockers, take good install pics. I am wanting to do this mod, but I want to see what it entails first. How do you like the ride of those springs? Have you flexed it out yet? Looks great, keep up the good work.

BFH! No really. You mean nuts not bolts, right? Soak with WD40 5min,
then put impact gun on High. Came right off. What killed me was the dang
cone washer, Yeah CONE. You have to hit the steering arm Just RIGHT!!
The pics show exactly where to hit. Washers pop right off, then releasing
the arm. At first i didnt know they where cone, so i tired taking them off
with a screw driver. Beat on them for 1hour and nothing. Making them unuseable. Did net search and found a site showing where to hit.
And smack my sausage, worked like a charm.

jimmypop

your set up is pretty similar to mine. 6" tuff country easy rides up front and 3" ez rides and 4 inch ORD flip in back. With all my cage and bumper work I am still sagging about 1 and 1/2 inch in rear. thinking about the shackles from ORD for the front of the rear springs to help???

I like the ride and flex is pretty good. Rear springs give more casuign the sag compared to the arch of the front springs.
