Here's my dilemma. The Chalet has got a couple of busted body mount bushings that need to be replaced. Got the bolts out of the 2 that are gone without a problem. I want to go ahead and order a complete poly body bushing kit because they're more durable and cheaper. But I'm worried I might not be able to get the hardware out of the 4 rear, flat bushings. If the bolts break loose, I can't access them from the topside because of the camper - and I will not be removing the camper anytime soon.

It seems like the majority of the flex will be in the larger bushings from the ones right behind the seat forward to the radiator supports. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and order the poly set and if for some reason I can't get the rear flat, rubber ones out, I'll just leave them in. Am I asking for trouble?

How hard is it to pull the camper? I assume not easy.Tough call on the mounts. The rear obviously flexes or the tailgates and fiberglass tops wouldn't crack. If I were to do it again, and I had the tools and space, I'd wire wheel the hell out of the threads below the nut that holds the rear mounts in place, maybe even run a die or thread chaser over them, so that the nuts come off easily, once they are broken free. I don't know if all the bolts are tack-welded all years, but my '85's were. Too much torque though, and you will rip the bed where the weld is. :(
