Modifications that you hate?

Vintage Air is ok in some ways, it was cold air in the summer, but I think too much money for what grief I had. Oh and the Alan Grove brackets put bolts rubbing the back of the power steering pump, until I reworked them.

rode amazing when fresh... but got tweaked in a hurry...

Mine didn't tweak or sag or give a decent ride. Even though Tuff Country said they were designed for a small block and might be soft with the big block.

What was the specs on the rest of the truck that had the springs? What didn't you like about them? And what shocks were you running? Same ones with ord Springs? I'm kinda screwed cause I only want a 2" lift so I'm hoping the tuff country ex ride 2" Springs will work out ok for me.

Obviously custom packs are better than any off the shelf stuff, but TC EZ rides are one of the better springs you can run.

I had them on my '70. I tried rancho adjustable shocks, then bilstien and neither set could control what felt like too much rebound after bumps. Obviously the older truck has shorter springs, but when the guy at Tuff Country told me that they may be soft with the big block, I was not pleased when I got to a point where I cringed when I knew I was going too fast for a bump or dip. Granted the short wheelbase doesn't help, but I still have the Bilstien shocks and the truck is 75% better! Now it needs better rear springs as what I have are thicker than stock leaves.
The way I look at it, I would rather pay more money for Stephen to spec springs than hate the end result.

sorry to hear.... mine gave a nice ride when fresh with the BB... but they did not like the weight.. I plan to put them back in the K5 with the SB tho and see how they do...
