Moog 353 is supposed to be a 1310/1330 conversion but they are being made with the same size caps,1310, on all four points. The widths are correct the caps are not.
I bought one from Summit and thought I ordered the wrong part but a NAPA partsman looked it up and had the same U joint under the NAPA name. Same problem.

Just a heads up to anyone intending on using this part.

Reading up on this, and cross referencing u joints, I'm finding the same problem on other forums dating back to 2010. The wrong u joints mentioned are Precision and Spicer (same company?)
I guess any 10 to 12 bolt swaps are going to be a nightmare

A Neapco 1-0134 is a non grease-able 1330 to 1310 conversion joint according to the listings I found on Google...its also a stock Ford u-joint used on many older Ford & Lincoln vehicles...I'd opt for a non greaseable one and grease it well before installing, they are stronger, not being cross drilled..
EDIT...I just looked on "Denny's Driveshafts" listing and they say there are 2 versions of this u-joint with 2 different sized caps..and the 1-134 neapco IS greaseable!...they seem to have the most concise listings...google "1310 to 1330 u-joint neapco" and you'll see the link to Denny's site..

I reluctantly used an Autozone u-joint on my drivers side front axle on my '82 GMC last fall, when I discovered there was NO needles in the original, and the cups were almost worn thru to the yoke...I didn't break it plowing yet,but every storm we had,I was babying it,because I've heard they dont hold up well...

0-0134 was one of the cross numbers I found that turned out being wrong too.
Seems to be a factory spec problem for some reason?
I tried putting a cap from a 235 on my u joint at NAPA and it was sloppy, so no go there. I'm about to grind the damn tabs off the 12 bolt yolk, use the 235, and loctite the straps!!!

Also found problems with 5-134x

Chevy never used 1330 joints, are you sure you're looking for the right part?

Thats what I found when looking for the conversion joint. NAPA guy confirmed it. Otherwise ya got me :dunno:

HOWEVER: When I got to the truck I tried the NAPA(Moog) 235 cap on the Moog 353 and didn't feel any slop. None. Not sure if the NAPA guy thought he might lose the sale or what ( I was going to buy the 235 either way) but it was just as tight as the caps that came on it.

So problem solved this time but doesn't change the fact that Moog is shipping the wrong caps on half the combination joint.

EASY FIX:waytogo:

Starting in the late 70's, GM started using it's own proprietary 3R u-joint. Any possibility that's what you have? Like I said, 1330 is Ford/Dodge only to my knowledge.

It's possible but what I found was the 1310/1330 combo for the bastard joint, online forums and at NAPA, maybe it was just adopted by Chevy swappers as a necessary convenience
I do know the NAPA guy was bumfuzzled and said Moog was making life tough on alot of people because the list called for 1 1/8 and 1 1/16 caps but the 353s were only half right.
