Moral Booster, how long did it take to build YOUR K5?

Took me three full years to get Frankentruck street legal, which is the point that I consider it mostly "done" Of course it will be years before it is complete, but as long as it runs good, thats all that matters to me, cosmetics comes last.

No anti-theft measures on your truck? No pity when its stolen

My front axle blew up two years ago, right before I stated school full time. It's been very slow going until a few months ago when I got a great job. I just paid off all the debt I accumulated and have been buying parts like mad the last three or four weeks. I think I'll have everything but the engine just the way I want it by the end of July. By "just the way I want it" I mean wheelable.

It's going to be tough with school coming up for you unless you have decent money coming from somewhere. I was dead broke the last two years.

That's because I'm the devil.

I've been working on my truck for 3 yrs. It looked the same as the day I got it. At times I couldn't belive it. Where had all my time and money gone.?

Last week I painted it with bed liner and it came alive. I finally don't feel like I have a worthless piece of crap. Yes, I still have the original engine, but it runs.

You should seriously look at the condition of your blazer. If it is going to need a ton of work and time that you can't provide, sell it and get one in better shape. Blazers are pretty cheap and I bet you can pick up one for an extra thousand dollars with all the stuff you are planning for yours. I've seen some for $3000 with new paint, engine and tranny's. Makes me wonder why I wasted all that time on a truck when I could have paid the same amount and had a sweet blazer.

Anyway, just a thought. Remember, if you get rid of yours you have to buy another blazer. No sports cars.
