Hold on!!!!!!!!! Where did you get the door mounts for the speakers?????/ I have the q-logic ones down in the kick panels and yours are muuuuuch nicer? WHat kind are they and where can i find them??

Sweet ride... hard to tell from the pics, did you leave off the fender trim??

I got them from an audio store in a nearby town. Then they covered them in a light grey leatther with a padding,so they are kinda puffy. MY buddy used to work there so I got them for next to nothing. I do have fender trim,but I took it off.

Hey man clean rig. Where exactly did you get those speakers? Are they just the speaker mounts or a whole unit with the speakers built in? Did you have to cut a hole in the door? I'm not too far from Fremont and I want to go check 'em out. How much would they cost without the buddy discount.

Looks very nice!! Question: say, that looks like a diesel. Is it? Welcome to the club. I have a diesel K5, too! The question is what did you do to the guage trim? Is that a real metal overlay or is it paint? I'm interested in that look. I like it. I like those speaker closures, too. Gonna have to keep an eye out for something like those.

SAVAGE1 I got the speakers about 3 or 4 years ago,since then my friend quit working there and moved. The place was called Race & Rock in Newark. They are kinda $$$,but it helps when you have a friend that worked there,well used to. I'm sure they could still make them. I also had to cut holes in the door panels to make them fit.

NewK5Guy- The dash has been the same since I got the Blazer years ago. It's a fake metal looking piece with sticky stuff on the back so it sticks to the dash. It's not a diesel

If it isn't a diesel, then either it was or someone changed the dash bezel. Look at the black square between and above the gas gauge and speedo. With a light behind it, it will read "glow plugs" and "water in fuel". There is nothing wrong with this. Most people wouldn't even notice it!

I painted it myself with the help of some friends back in high school program called ROP. It was a autobody shop class. I put the clear on a little to thick,so there is couple of waves and drips. I also didn't prep the top by the windshield to good (it's starting to chip and peel back) other than that. The paint has held pretty good. The color is just a dark grey metallic..

First I must say sweet blazer! I really dig the grey interior work. Mine is grey, but all of the metal is black like my exterior. Yours looks much cleaner/newer. I've got to see if the local stereo shop can hook me up with the door speaker set-up like yours. How much of the door did you have to cut since I see that you have power windows too. How is JC Whitney's carpet kits? Did the door carpet come with the kit? If you have any other pics of your blazer, please post them, so we can see the rear of the interior too. Later, Gary
