I would like to know some info on moroso oil pans. In particular the 7qt deep sump and the 7qt kickout.
I have a 78 K5 with a 400sb going in and want to upgrade the pan. Does the kickout cause any serious headaches changing starters? I do have hedman headers and a TH350.
Also does the deep sump pan hang low enough to worry about? I wouldnt think so but would like any suggestions.
THANKS

I used to run a 7q on my chevelle I had. the starter was not a problem is all I know about that.

I appreciate the info. Ordering deep sump pan and pump/pickuptube, hope its here by the time i go to put my 400 together.

I'm getting a Moroso pan for my 496 and the I plan on getting the 8 or 9 quart pan. If the deep part of the pan just goes straight down and not out to the sides; your headers will clear just fine.

Exactly. I use the deep pan because I was worried about clearance to the headers. It's 9.5" deep and 7 quart capacity.
