Motor Build Thread, ITS ALIVE! Video!! (updated 9-12-10)

Haha, yeah I'm a bit worried about the noise. At the moment, it's my daily driver till I get another truck. Eventually it will be linked front and rear. Mostly open desert, glamis, pismo.

I think it goes without saying that we will need video of it once it's running. :pimp:

So I will apologize now cause this is the first video of my truck just sitting at idle but you requested video so here you go :D Its with my iPhone so not sure about the quality on your end? Maybe when my girlfriend comes home I can fire it up while she shoots me and I can give it some gas?

Enjoy, I know I will!

Crap, How do you upload video?

That just sounds like a bad plan!

On a more serious note, how did you get a dyno chart before the engine was built? Was that a computer simulation or a similar engine?

Sweet big block, it should run awesome.

Haha, good point, should have worded that differently! Yes, it was a computer program we used and that is the printout of what the motor should be capable of. After I save up a bit more, then I will get it dyno tuned.

Can you guys view that? Let me know if it works!

Sounds good'n nasty. :thumb: How's it rev? Is it good and responsive?

So one person couldn't hear it and the other could? Interesting. Its stupidly responsive, no hesitation, flat spots or anything like that.

I guess you're having better luck with your demon than I am...

I actually read your thread, but sorry man. I have no advice :( we just had some problems with the floats (put the springs in wrong when we rebuilt it) but everything else worked ok.
