i have a question or two as i sit pondering the work needed for my motor swap. i am swapping the 6.2 diesel for a 400ci sbc from a 1980 suburban. now the 400 is from a smog vehicle and i have no need for the smog crap. i am trying to eliminate what i can, but i'm not sure what i need and what i dont. for starters, i notice some fuel pumps dont have a return line, but the one on the 400 has one. do i need to run a fuel return line or can i just do one in, one out to the carb? also as for the manifold, it has a plate with two lines coming out of it on the passenger side. i assume this is for egr, can i just block this off or should i get a new manifold? i'm sure i will have more questions in the weeks to come. thanks!
