mounting an Aluminum radiator

I’m guessing the factory mounts won’t work. That kit seems simple enough. Not much to mounting a radiator.

been hearing the champion rad does not fit in stock mounts and i wont have a way to parts house to get anything so i want it before i pull apart.

I want to know after all these years why can they NOT yet make them with 4 tabs to index to our factory mounts .

And for years i ran a 88 c20 rad in my 80's square body no problems . It was aluminum / plastic tank oem style .

I’ve got an 83 k30 big block radiator in mine right now. No issues and fits great. Need to yank it and clean it though.

That kit looks good to me. Especially for that price. I made mine fit by using some huge rubber Jeep spare tire stoppers I had lying around on the bottom and some crappy looking metal strap over the top.

Wish I had seen the kit you posted before I rednecked mine in there.

My radiator is a China 4 row aluminum loaded kit with fans off Amazon. It seems ok so far. Time will tell, I won't be surprised when it fails somehow.

I also used some pipe insulation foam across the front where it could possibly contact the core support...ha

IIRC I used stock style cushions and trimmed them to fit the square flange. Not sure if they were 4 core cushions or the smaller ones.
