Moving Shocks Rear to Front

I heard that some guys with 4" lift are moving their rear shocks to the front axle to pick up some extra length - then replacing the rears with Gabriel G63438's.

Has anyone here done it and did it work for you?

Yes I have... you need to press a sleeve into the top mount as the rear shocks slip onto a "stud" type mount. Works fine.
