Mr. Clean's dune cruising 71' K5 "Oprah" beams, links, and turbo ls powwwa

The thing gets it for sure:thumb:

Hes not kidding about killing the raptor either. The dude had it pinned, and nate had only 2wd and we wasted him :haha:

Saw the vid and hope someday we all get to roll together. I will be curious to see the 4wd with a linked front on that

Id love to make it out to the west coast someday and run witth you! I knoe deuling would as well. We will all fling sand togethor someday. Hopefully sooner then later:thumb:

LOL.

Im really stoked for next summer already. Once i fix my rear suspension we should have 2 pretty equally capable blazers to tear up the dunes.

Should be sweet to see 2 old blazers tearing up some raptors side by side :D

I want some SPD stickers!!!

And yah next summer will be sweet.

Deulings blazer needs to go on a weight loss plan over this winter and it should help him out tremendously. All his tools are nice to have in the dunes, but really kills some of the capability of his rig.

Yes. I need to work on organizing a small and light set of tools. Ill never get as light as yours. Hell my tailgate alone prolly weighs 3xs more than yours lol.

Unfortunately the go pro vids didnt turn out so well. Half of the runs there is too many rain drops on the lens. I tried cleaning it a bunch, but one drop on that lens blurrs pretty much the entire thing :doah:

If we go next saturday hopefully it wont be rainy.

Man I love everything about this rig, except for the goofy small tires with the lift. But realistically those tires aired down properly will serve you great in the sand.

I agree with the idea of trying to raise the coil buckets. It'll be work but worth it in the end.

The big lift and little tires look for some reason is growing on me:dunno: i may go to a 35" tire and do a re-gear this winter to help in not look so ridiculous sense ive got the room. :dunno: we'll see. It works so well i might not even touch it.

There's always something to be said for taking Somethjng g that works and leaving ut the **** alone.
Too many times we get wrapped up in "project" mode and don't get to enjoy these things.

I would still do something with the radius arms.

If one of those breaks at speed its not cool and having seen thicker wall and larger tubing bend on a jump gone wrong just not worth risking your shocks and leaf springs.

Btw we had a modified radius arm set up on the 4500 class truck I was involved with. It bent while I was driving it. Took out both coilovers and both bypass shocks on the front. Fortunately just broke the shafts so not as much to fix but still dang near 600 bucks.

My idea with radius arms is that one can break and the other one needs to be able to not on ly survive but still locate the axle well enough to only break minor stuff

Also now y'all have seen the light with links. I expect many heim joints in your future :woot:

Those look beefy.

With how hard i am on things (you guys will come to learn this) im sure lots of heims are in my future. Its just a matter of saving the money for shocks and heims to 3 link it. Until then ill find the weaknesses in radius arms im sure. I dont have a tow truck and trailer for nothing. Thats why first priority is safety. Needs some more cage work incase of something bad happening at high speed.
