Mr. Clean's dune cruising 71' K5 "Oprah" beams, links, and turbo ls powwwa

You are going to love the new shocks and air bumps Nate, nice work! I like the new braces integrated on the radius arms as well.

And I agree, the PO wheels not only look hideous, that small sidewall is pretty useless in the sand.

Dunno man, if he continues taking credit while you're out at the dunes that would drive me nuts. You could always drop an update on his FB page, about fixing the rear shackle hanger length so the leaves don't bend, strengthening the radius arms, better shocks, bumps stops, etc. You know, "fixing" sh**. :D

can't wait for some weekend pics/video

Haters gonna hate.

Didn't he sell it because he needed cash asap? Sounds like he is regretting it bad and is jealous cause you made it a real dune runner.

I want a sticker for mine that says: "Bought, not Built"

Except I hate stickers.

I think 20 stickers and black wheels would look great on your rig........wait thats deulings truck hehe :pimp:

Some comments have been made by P.O. and several of I guess his friends talking about how they built this truck and blah blah blah. It doesn't really bother me because anyone who knows me knows what I have done to the truck. And I won't take credit away from where credit is due. I didn't have anything to do with the cage...yet, but it was built by a bad a$$ local fabricator and he did an awesome job. Its just sad watching people trying to steal some credit for something they didn't do....

You should post up photos of the pile of "discarded" parts and let him take credit for THAT!!!

Removing all of HIS work is what has actually made it awesome, not the other way around. :waytogo:

Well all back from a great Holiday weekend. Overall super happy with all the suspension upgrades and how Oprah soaks everything you throw at it right up. I ran it hard for 3 days straight, beating the snot out of it every single day. Deuling was my co-pilot for the weekend riding shotgun. There was 5 spots I can think of in particular that we had all 4 wheels off the ground. Oprah was airborne somewhere around 50+ times over the weekend. Any lip I saw I pointed Oprah at it in hopes of flight! With all that being said. The motor is pretty much junk and so is my trans. The end of the second day I was having problems with it building pressure and puking engine oil out the dipstick tube. Resulting in smoky headers and having to put more oil in it. Haven't looked into that issue at all. One thought on the table was possible blow by from worn rings? Other than that the tranny or tc has a mysterious grinding clanking noise that never went away all weekend(which i'll ad my th350 that I had in it last year made the same exact sound. makes me wonder if its something with the flexplate). I managed to not puke tranny fluid out tube so that was a plus. The trans however had a second mysterious noise that only was around when it was cold. after a few hot laps that went away. So we weren't too worried. And lastly the trans would never stay in the gear I wanted. If I pulled it manualy into second and take off it would always up shift into 3rd. If I was in D and pulled it down manually into second or 1st it would just stay in 3 and wouldn't down shift. So I just drove it in 3rd everywhere which just meant we had to do about 40mph everywhere we went which wasn't that big of a deal. All in all I drove the crap out of it. Jumped the snot out of it. And am super surprised its still running and driving after 3 days. Oh yah and one of the hucks got a little sideways going off the take off and sent it crooked through the air and I landed on the drivers front wheel sideways and it ended up bending out the frame at the bumpstop mount. Nothing too major a little heat and bending and she will be back in place......and then I should finish my frame tie ins and cross members before I jump it so many times again.

Hopefully this works for the time being as I'm working on editing some video footage but click this for a little jump action. This video is also on my fb page if you want to go there and see it.

Once again like normal I was too busy thrashing and not busy enough taking photos, but here is the ones I did manage to take. Sorry I'll work better on taking better pictures.
