Mr. Clean's dune cruising 71' K5 "Oprah" beams, links, and turbo ls powwwa

Just kinda proves the fact that when people sell these rigs it's always cheaper to buy than build. Parts get more expensive every day it seems like.

This is So true! I've been looking into selling my f250 to buy a new half dd half play truck and its been blowing my mind what people are selling something thats conpletely built and done for! Makes me ? Why im building a truck and not just buying one.......but then again i havent seen any full vert k5s with a turboed ls on twin beams for sale so......

Well that's the "best" part of people having kids buying houses or getting divorces.

Fire sale. It just pays to have money on hand to take advantage.

Due to some new events a replacement motor is going in sooner then later. Not enough time to do the ls before the party. But got a cheap replacement to run for the party weekend. Gonna swap them this weekend. And with how much you guys hated the idea of a 4.8 swap this motor is sure to make you extra happy :pimp:

I think you should leave it a solid front axle instead of beams. More different and cooler in my eyes, thats just me though. Cant wait to see you at the party and try to keep up with you:D

Sorry Leslie.. I gotta say there are plenty of tall solid axle Blazers.. Very few purpose built I beamed first gen beamed anything. Low fast and dirty hooker travel all spell win in my book..

Imagine this but a first gen.

Yah sorry havent updated this in a while. Got the 307 all in amd running. It has a miss havent been able to find the issue yet. But did a nice burnout in the garage followed by a hot lap around the field followed by another garage burnout......then the tranny went. So im trying to hunt down a new tranny to swap before the party. Paul milard has a th475 that i am trying to find out if it will work. Anyone know it the x member location and overal length is the same on the th400's and th475's???

That is also what i have heard. Paul is going to measure it today so we can verify.

I found that one you posted last night at work. I plan to call this afternoon to get more info on it. Looks promising.

Yah that one in kzoo looks the best!!!

Well that one I posted in kzoo is a bust but it looks like the one paul has will fit so friday morning im heading his way to pick that up then probally pull a late night swap.
