You'd also be smart to get that electrical bulkhead connector fully sealed up as well as the steering column.... that sand is going to get EVERYWHERE and will chew up those parts once it gets inside. :deal:

It will no matter what...

Embrace the sand. Let it consume you...

Was able to finally get some time in the garage and do a lot of mock up and test fitting of parts. After this weekend have a solid plan on how everything is going to fit and what I need to do to make it fit permanently.

Some beveling, welding, and grinding helped produce this v flanged manifold. Came out exactly how I wanted.

Nice job on the flange Nate!
Excited to see this come together!

Me too. I've had several weekends of having to do grown up responsible things around the house and property, but looking like I should be able to keep spending more time in the garage. Got a lot to do!

wow that '68 looks nice. Short bed?

if you could send the headlight bezels and grill trim to me that would be great, thanks.

yes its a short bed. however didn't come with a box when I bought it. Truck is super clean, and no way I would part this thing out the headlight bezels are perfect on this thing. the grille trim has one ding but I can live with it. I already started linking the rear of it and dropping it. Once I get some more progress on that truck I'll start a separate build thread on it.

yeah man, I wouldn't part it out either, just joking. Is the old paint your taste? It is mine, wouldn't touch it other than to wax it. Love it. I'd have to get rid of the mirrors and lights though. Flat bed with mini tubs to tuck the wheels :D

Hurry up and start a thread for Mater elsewhere so we can talk about it!
