mud racing 2015

after 3 months it's back together. i learned alot and spent even more. it got the heads redone with everything but intake valves, that included new valve springs, locks, titanium retainers. the machine shop said i was the luckiest guy he ever seen when he started taking the heads apart, broken valve springs and locks. bought a new cam, lifters, and rockers. the new cam was bigger/ different then the old one so i had to buy new pushrods. i had to buy some engine tools to measure /setup everything.

the lobe that ate a pushrod.

I learned how to degree a cam, check valve lift, and clearances. it was frustrating but got thru it with a few good engine builder friends.

2 sundays ago finally got it all together. had the first race this past saturday.

The engine sounds good, whats the new cam?

I like checking all the engine clearances and degreeing, etc. Then you know its done right. Plus its amazing when you see all the parts and realize how fast they have to move for the engine to run correctly.

I was more curious about the lift, [email protected], LSA, etc. But maybe you don't want your mudding buddies to know what you are running so it won't go on the net?

I just like hearing different combos because I like to guess RPM and hp numbers in my head just for sh!ts and giggles. But I guess I don't know how many cubes it is or what brand/model/cc those heads are either? Sounds like it is spinning to 7k or more in a couple of the vids? The first vid sounds like less RPM than the last two.

the 2nd and 3rd video are of the same pass, just different views.

the rev limiter is at 7800rpm i think. i wasn't shifting quick enough, out of practice.
