I run a 350 with headers to 2 chamber flowmasters. I am going to be running my Blazer as a commute vehicle for a while and am looking for a muffler that is both somewhat quiet and has good flow.

I have heard a little about the "Delta" Flowmasters and wonder if they are quiet?

What do you guys run for mufflers?

I'm running super turbo mufflers on mine. They sound real good and not to loud until you get above about 2500 rpms. Just listen to an old stock muscle car and they are about same.

I like my 40 series. I am thinking of going to 50" coffee cans...then switching out to a four cylinder engine along with some really big and stupid looking performance stickers. Those mods alone should cost me $4000 and should allow me to out run a stock '89 ford Festiva

!!!!!!!!!! You realize that the asian symbols mean stupid white boy poser with empty wallet dont you?

Honestly if you spent the money for new exhaust on your truck...adding up install and part cost...you could be better off just going and getting some dynamat or other brand of sound deadener/insulation and do the install in a weekend. My $0.02

OK your thinking dynomat? I was thinking of that too.

My exhaust is brand new from the headers back, I just want to pull the two chambers in favor of a quieter muffler.

Anyone have any suggestions?

fr8train, you must be thinking that super turbos are rice burner mufflers. Theyre not.

Sounds like you should just switch to some 3 chamber Flowmasters. They make the same cool sounds as the 2 chamber ones...just a little quieter. I have 2 chamber ones now and used to run 3 chamber ones on a V8 Jeep I had a long time ago. I like them both for different reasons. When I install some headers on my truck I'll probably go to 3 chamber so I can drive fast and not attract as much attention.

Chevy good...Ford bad

when you get new mufflers give me your 2 chamber ones

I would go w/ Dynomax Super Turbo's They flow better than flowmasters, are a bunch quieter, and are only $30each.

I run the Super Turbos as well........Really mellow at idle, but they roar quite nicely when you hammer the pedal.

When I tow long distances, I actuallt find them a little loud, but in OD on the highway they sound sweeeeet....

I just got the 3" Hooker max flow put on and it out flows the Flowmasters, it is a straight through design, and is just slightly louder than stock. Its not as loud as my holey stock muffler. It has just a low growl. I think I paid about $50. They are very well built to, the walls on this thing are very thick, shouldn't have to worry about putting extra holes in it. I probably won't run anything else ever again.
