So I decided I wanted a little better ride and longer wheel base for the trails. So, I bought a new set of 63's for the rear and moved my 52's up front. I'm not quite done yet, but this is my progress so far.

In the rear, I left the front hanger alone and moved my axle back 6". I then cut off my entire blazer bed and grafted on a new 8' bed that was shortened of course.

In the front, I left the rear hanger alone and moved my front axle 3" forward, I still have to mod some front fenders to fit.

So the final product will look like a truck, right? Sounds pretty neat.

Looks really good! At first I thought the bed was going to be separate but I see you're attaching it like the original K5 tub. Pretty neat.

How it running? Been wheeling it much?

Are ya gona graft some of the tail light area back on to keep it "more" factory looking or keeping it bobbed?

Looks good so far. Super short box...

I welded a piece on the very end of the bed and left it "bobbed". The overall length of the bed is only 2" shorter than stock. I am going to put some aftermarket lights in the rear because I have gone through so many stock lights it's unbelievable.

They sure are. I want my blazer to still look like a blazer, but I feel some water tight aftermarket guarded lights will still do the trick. Maybe it's not the taillights fault...maybe its the driver:dunno:
