Why have we not see this car?!?!?
Ok so the story goes... in 1994 I purchased a 66-13639 a 4 door sports sedan for $400.00. 283 2 jet power glide. Needed a bunch. Sagging springs, scrapped thought exhaust pipe, cam with 4 flat lobes, passed smog.
So pick a part 80 something Malibu wagon spring in rear new Moog cut big block springs in front, fix exhaust.
Mild cam, 350 unleaded heads. Daily drove for a year or so, updated to 70 Chevelle disc brakes. Drove for several years like this.
Got a deal on a 6" rod 355 machined and balanced by SpeedoMotive Art Car 2004R, 2.25 in dual crossover flow master 50 stainless, corvette rallies, new upholstery.
Loving it 2nd gear was a monster, was great then in 2004 a city tree fell on it
. they pad me $800 dollars since cars aren't real property.
So I was on the search for a replacement, looked at a lot of crap in my price range, found this car 66 13617
factory air and power brake car. no motor no trans.
Some kid used it for his auto shop project a Citrus collage remove the trim some door handles, and half assed color change. So by this time I don't need the car to drive daily. I can take my time. New Hotchkis 1" drop springs transfer the disc brakes.
Found rust inside firewall but cowl is solid, is a bad braze from factory under windshield. Rear window has rust.
I had been motivated at the begining but at the time the rust repair was out my skill set, might still be but I have been practicing.
Currently is in my garage with no motor trans, interior strip out, some parts have been por 15'd. and is surrounded by stuff.
