Well i did a thing today. I just bought a 2 of 02 GMC Savana 2500, 8.1 L19. Running, for $600.00. It is wrecked hard on right rear. Story goes a thievery crew was robbing a freight train, near I40. Stealing Nike shoes, loading in a box truck. Cops show up, they all bail into this Sanvana and light out. Trying to get away they pull out in front of Semi and get clipped. Everyone goes to jail.

Tow yard has the Van, I have title, the seller Jerry offers to deliver it, and then says when I'm done stripping it he'll come get and haul it off. Getting ride of the carcass was my biggest worry. Hoping to have my hands on Friday. I have heard start cold, no lifter tick or odd noises, goes into gear, has a flat so didn't try to move it.

So my K20 is getting the L19, I will decide what is happening with the gen 6 later (possibly my Chevelle). I was planning on going all out on this in fact I was ready to drop off at Machine shop next for cleaning over bore and truing up. That was looking like 7 or 8k for the build. Big block are breading like rabbits around here.

I fell I should use the 4l80. This mean I need a figure 8 th400 adapter, and a 32 spline input. Then modify my np205 for the larger bearing. Hoping this particular 4l80 has the short output, or modifiable output.

Already have efi tank, will need to grab a tbi hanger, and the current best pump, I'll have the fuel lines from the van, should be able to adapt them.

That's sweet, what is this Chevelle you speak of? How did we not know about this?

The pump you want is a genuine Walbro with the install kit, it will drop right in a TBI sender.

If you get the right tailshaft, which I think should be out of a van, you can just trim off and use a short input NP205 from behind a TH400. It makes it easier to have a output speed in the 4L80E as it gives you more options for controls.

I may have to many projects.
