I also changed out the custom draglink and will be having a new driveline made due to custom modifications:rolleyes:

Got some pictures of the guages installed and the dash painted up, started on a rear bumper for it, and will be going in for dual 2.5" exhaust with H pipe and flowmasters in the next few days

Reminds me of the 68 3/4 ton we used to have.....327/465 with 4.56's. No power steering or brakes.....that thing was a tank and it only drove good with about two cords of wood in the back!

Sounds like more good changes coming for it.

So, you can actually fit yours in your garage - gotta like that! I could barely fit my K5 into the garage when i had the 35"s on it, haven't been able to fit the K20 in a garage in a long time.

Well i finally got the hood back on it and out of the garage to make room for all the stuff that ChefBear gave me. He is an awesome guy and if you guys get the chance to meet him jump on it!

Well Its time for another update.........

Centercaps are corvette rallies.

I have installed a newer steering wheel out of a 1992 chevy truck- $5 craigslist score. Got some new shocks up front, painted the rims black instead of the orange, tore out the 700r4 and installed a th400/208 because the motor was pushing through the clutches in 3rd gear.

I picked up a bed in way better shape than mine for $200 another craigslist score and am in the process of putting the new one on. Due to high winds and thunderstorms today we called it a night. I need to paint the rest of the frame and change out the rear shocks.

Also having a bit of a problem with the motor wanting to get warm 210degrees I got a 165 stat in it and no fan shroud. Debating on electric fan or just throw a shroud on

I also started to noticed a grinding/scarping noise in the front end, looks like the rims are rubbing the tie-rods so i ordered up some 1/4" wheel spacers today

A guy that I work with builds these trucks as well and has a sweet extended cab 68 that he built. Ill get some pics of his in a few weeks when i head to his place. He wanted the bedside skins for his shortbox so I went to my buddies and used his plasma cutter to cut the skins off the bed. Neighbors didnt look like they aproved:D

Well not a whole lot going on here to post progress or anyway, just tons of sanding/prime/sand. Got some new fenders for it and a hood. Buddy borrowed the swampers and brought over some "rollers" for me. His dad uses them at the mud bogs.

The Orange- if you can afford it. About the only color I have ever seen that works on any vehicle (House of Colors- Tangello?)

A little update. Ive been doing a tone of block sanding and as everyone that has done that knows there is a ton of work involved, but not a whole lot to post pics of. I have bought a ton of parts for it, New poly bodymounts, spring bushings, stainless braided brakelines, new gauge cluster, door sills, weatherstripping, etc.

I finally deceided on a color Its sunburst orange metallic. Base/clear. My paint guy has some serious shoulder problems and is going in for surgery this week. So he is going to teach me how to paint. I got a little gun time last sunday and did the inner side of the grille, inner fenders, inside of the fenders and the underside of the hood. Im happy with it overall, I did no prep work at all on any of the pieces painted other than wiping the crap off them and wiping them with solvent.

I also got some Als Liner and sprayed the bed, tailgate, interior, and firewall with it. I am really happy with how easy it layed out. I had it tinted body color as well. I was getting up under the dash and spilled a little on the driverside floor board, but Im gonna be running carpet and a dynamat knockoff.
